Notes and comments:

1.  Changes since last time: Completed events have been deleted.

2.  I am now recruiting for the Duke City Marathon on October 17.  If you would like to help with this event and have not yet contacted me, please let me know.

3.  I have been contacted regarding a bike ride called Day of the Tread to be held on October 24, sponsored by the Embassy Suites hotel.  This is beyond the usual end of our event season.  I will not be able to plan this event.  I have not listed it below, and I will tell the organizers we are unable to support it unless someone wishes to step in and serve as the event coordinator for radio support.  If you are interested, please let me know right away.  If I get an event coordinator, I will put out a call for volunteers.  Otherwise, in a week or so I am going to decline the request for comm support.

TBA - New Mexico Marathon.  (Will not be held in 2010.)

October 17, 2010Duke City Marathon.  Albuquerque area amateurs have supported this event for more than 20 years.  The marathon will follow an out-and-back course from downtown Albuquerque north along the bosque bike path to Paseo del Norte and east to a turnaround point near Edith Blvd.  A half marathon and 5K race are included in the event.  We will need a substantial number of volunteers to cover rest stops along the course or to shadow race officials as well as a few bicycle mobile stations.  For a course map and additional event information, see www.dukecitymarathon.com.
